Every once in awhile, I have seen a problem where email folders in Netscape Messenger that were once there have now disappeared. Usually this is the case when moving email and preferences from one computer to another, however it can happen in other cases as well.
Most people will tell you the easy answer to this question is do the following
1) Click on View
2) Click on Messages
3) All Messages
However, this probably won't fix the problem most of the time.
Most of the time, the problem lies with the .snm files in the Mail folder. SNM files are summary (index) files created by Netscape Communicator to display header information. When these SNM files get corrupted, the folders dont show up correctly.
To solve this unusual problem:
1) Make sure Netscape Communicator is closed
2) Open My Computer and double-click your way to the specific Netscape Mail Folder
usually C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users directory
3) Delete the .SNM files in this directory, being careful not to delete the regular files
4) Reopen Netscape and all your missing folders should now reappear
